Thanks for the great work out yesterday, Matt! My muscles were so confused, they didn’t know which way they were going! The sprints at the end really taxed my legs (in a good way). Also, have been meaning to tell you… Went to the allergist last week and he was very happy with my spirometer results. My lung capacity has increased tremendously (FEV1/FVC 114%). And that makes me happy! (Small steps…)

Matt:
Some thoughts from me this a.m. Yesterday I was having a conversation with myself (as I so often do!)  about bootcamp. What I have realized is I have always wanted to be stronger and have attempted to do it in many ways, running, gyms, etc. Some of these methods gave me some good, but short term results. My focus was always the weight  loss or looking better. My motivation now is totally different. I am in this for my mental strength. I don’t even focus on my outward appearance. (Don’t get me wrong I am happy with that too!)
I have encountered a lot of negative stress over the past 5 years. I was never able to get my arms around how to have a balanced life in spite of the stress. Now I do. Now I go to bootcamp, redirect my energy to the things that are a priority in my life and let go of the negative. Yes there are days it is harder than others to let go, but the good days seem to be happening more often than not these days.
So thank you again. Your leadership and direction has made all the difference.  Have a great weekend.

I started Fat2Fire Bootcamp a little over six months ago, and I am thrilled with
my progress!  When I started, I had quite a bit of difficulty, but thanks to
Matt’s encouragement and positive attitude, I stuck with it.  The workouts we do
definitely push me to do more than I would on my own.  I’m more confident in my
physical ability, and Matt always reminds me that mental strength is KEY.  Since
I started in May, I’ve lost 35 pounds, and am in the best shape of my life.  I
don’t have limit myself to the plus size section, which makes clothes shopping
SO much better!  I get compliments from family and friends on my appearance, but
I think a big part of it is my inner happiness shining through my (slimmer)
exterior.  I’m so excited that my hard work is paying off, and so is Matt!

Hi Matt,
Thank you so much for reviewing my eating and food diary.  I really appreciate it.  A little “kick” in the pants is good. So, I headed to Dearborn & stocked up on some additional veggies & protein. As I type this, I am eating a delicious lunch I made with sauted kale & red onions & sliced herbed turkey tenderloin I bought at the market. Yummy!! (The kale is perfectly prepared with a little CRUNCH! ha)

Matt and his Fat2Fire BootCamp program helped increase my endurance, strength and overall muscle toning.  Matt and the program’s camaraderie were always very motivating!  Never known as an early “morning person,” Matt and my fellow Fat2Fire Boot Campers converted me to one.  Loved the 6 a.m. class 2x/week — jump started each day and kept me energized throughout.  I also appreciated the variety of class day and time offerings, including Sat. 8 a.m. class.
