5 Fat Loss Road Blocks
The 5 Major Road Blocks to Fat Loss
Fat2fire’s objective is to not only increase metabolic rate, but to address the key factors behind excess body fat accumulation. It is important to know that on a daily basis your body goes through trillions of reactions and processes to try and keep you alive. Now mind you, what I just said. Try to keep you alive. So every day we put ourselves through daily stressors – work, family, friends, school, PTA, meetings, fast food, sugar, and…oh yeah. Exercise!! So all the events and shuffling of schedules cause emotions and thought processes (some positive and some negative) to enter our minds. It’s no wonder it’s tough to keep the body fat down.
So, here are 5 road blocks to fat loss road blocks.
 Lack of DEEP Sleep! |
- Increased levels of cortisol (stress hormone) activate fat storage receptors and ruin insulin sensitivity facilitating a fat storing environment. The by-product of stress is emotional eating and or binging on sugar rich food choices further contributing to body fat accumulation. Body fat levels have risen steadily amongst the North American population over the past 10 years in addition to other factors stress is a leading cause for this negative trend.
- Poor insulin sensitivity results in the over secretion of the insulin (powerful fat storage hormone) forcing the body into a constant fat storing environment.
- Sluggish metabolic rate- caused by numerous factors including under eating for an extended period of time, low anabolic hormone levels, genetics and many others.
- Under-active Thyroid due to lack of iodine in the diet, flouride in the water supply and chemical overload can cause fat metabolism issues.
- Lack of quality, deep sleep especially between the hours of 10pm and 2am. REM sleep is important for restoration of the body.
